About Us
Welcome to The Virginia Choristers 2020-2021 Season! We are thrilled to have you join us and be a part of this extraordinary organization!
Whether you are a part of the Treble, Lyric, Cambiati or Touring Choir, you have placed yourself on the path toward musical excellence as a singer! The Virginia Choristers environment nurtures the motivation for constant improvement and encourages a deep appreciation for music. It is our hope that the discipline and self-confidence you will gain from our programs will also transfer to your academic work and life. Most importantly, while many of our students go on to become professional musicians, it is our hope that all of our students will develop a life-long love of great music.
Our programs have been recognized internationally for artistic and educational excellence through invitations to perform in prestigious venues in Puerto Rico, Vienna (Austria), Charleston (South Carolina), the White House, the U.S. Department of State, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Montreal and Quebec (Canada) and Ireland. In addition, we perform concerts regionally and in collaboration with other arts organizations each season. In June 2016, The Virginia Choristers Touring Choir was invited to perform their debut in a feature concert in Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall. This past season, The Choristers traveled to London and Wales and gave a concert tour with the former Royal Harpist Claire Jones, West-End percussionist/composer Chris Marshall, and The American Youth Harp Ensemble!
Welcome!
Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, Artistic Director

CommUNITY - 2019 Choral Invitational
GreenSpring Virginia Choristers have been recognized nationally and internationally for choral excellence and received prestigious invitations to perform around the globe in renowned choral festivals and concert halls. More importantly, the journey of preparation towards a major performance or tour transforms our young singers into superb choral musicians and positively impacts personal development. Our singers grow through rich collaboration opportunities with other ensembles including symphony choruses, university choral programs, community choirs, and satellite choirs via partnerships with youth organizations throughout the region.
