In addition to leading his own ensemble, Cruse Control, Brian is currently an active member of Richmond, VA based bands Sweet Potatoes, Afro Zen All Stars, Murphy’s Kids and Bachelor Boys Band. After teaching independently for 10 years Brian opened Bassline Music in 2022 - a music lesson center located in Glen Allen.  He is also the bass instructor at Collegiate School. Brian graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Bass Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
