Andrew Certner has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the New School of Music in Philadelphia. He has been teaching string instruments privately for over 30 years! In 2017 he earned a certificate froM Music & Arts for the highest retention of students for the entire region (Richmond to Northern Virginia). 

Mr. Certner is an active performer in several chamber groups including his role as first violin in the Windsor Piano Trio and Windsor String Quartet. He served as a freelance musician in Atlantic City for seven years performing with vocalists such as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. His teachers include Max Aronoff, Karen Tuttle and Davyd Booth. 

Outside of his musical endeavors, he earned his MBA from Drexel University recently retired from a 23 year career as Senior Programmer Analyst, Information Technology with Dominion Power.

He began teaching lessons at GreenSpring this summer and we have received excellent feedback.
